Definition
- Cognitive bias is a general term used to describe a tendency to make a systematic error in thinking or reasoning. Normative systems such as formal logic, probability theory, and choice behavior by formal decision theory have been used by psychologists and economists to evaluate and detect cognitive biases in human reasoning.
