Definition
- In much of the country today, citizens and criminal justice professionals are engaged in new and distinctive conversations about how to respond to crime. Those involved in the emerging practice associated with these new conversations seem to be looking at crime and disorder in a different way—through a “new lens” (Zehr 1990).
