Preferred term
conduction aphasia
Definition
- Conduction aphasia is an acquired disorder of language typically caused by stroke. Classically, the symptoms of conduction aphasia—impaired verbatim repetition, phonemic errors in speech production, and naming difficulty—have been attributed to a disconnection between speech reception and production areas.
