- Obesity is fast becoming a worldwide epidemic and proper actions need to be taken to ensure a future where obesity-related deaths will not be at the top of the list. Obese adults are at an increased risk of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesteremia, asthma, arthritis, and overall poor health leading to a poor quality of life.
