cultural change
Definition
- Cultures can be ‘fixed’ in terms of their main components of language, religion and social organisation, but are neither residual nor static. The idea of cultural change acknowledges the fact that cultures have both a diversity and dynamism that defies rigid definition. [Source: Encyclopedia of Environmental Change; cultural change]
