differentiation strategy
Definition
- In pursuing competitive advantage based on differentiation, firms attempt to create unique bundles of products and/or services that will be highly valued by customers. An example of a differentiation strategy is GarageBand that Apple has added to the Macintosh-only family of applications that make up Apple's iLife 2004 software suite.
