Definition
- Disinhibited eating occurs when an individual temporarily loses control over his or her eating behavior. Common examples of disinhibited eating are eating when one is not hungry, overeating, and engaging in a binge-eating episode. [Source: Encyclopedia of Obesity; Disinhibited Eating]
