- Diversity is the term often used to describe a situation in which a variety of beliefs, behaviors, and physical and intellectual characteristics coexist and are deemed acceptable in a given region, institution, or system. The challenge for education in Trinidad and Tobago has been to define the conditions of coexistence and the role that it should play in national and individual development.
