education in Tibetan diaspora
Definition
- The Tibetan Diaspora is a transnational community dispersed in exile across four continents and connected by the Tibetan language, culture, religion, and a governing body—the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA). Education continues to play a major role in Tibetans' migration and global dispersion by both supporting and threatening their sustainability as a distinct people with a common language, culture, history, and sense of mission across generations.
