Definition
- A well-prepared school safety team provides for the safety and security of the school community before, during, and after an emergency situation. The school safety team, which includes school nurses—often in the leadership position—works together with emergency response and preparedness professionals to learn new ideas and initiate practices to meet emergency preparedness and response challenges.
