ethnic identity development measures
Definition
- A variety of psychometrically valid instruments have been developed to measure the construct of ethnic identity development, which is typically described as the developmental process of exploring the meaning and significance of one's ethnic group membership (see ethnic identity development). These instruments assess the extent to which individuals have explored and reflected on the significance and importance of their ethnic group membership and the role their ethnic group membership plays in their lives.
