Definition
- Ethnopsychiatry is sometimes referred to as “transcultural psychiatry” or “cross-cultural psychiatry.” Contrary to its name, ethnopsychiatry is a subfield of anthropology, rather than psychiatry. “Ethno” is in reference to cross-cultural groups.
