feminist theory in international relations
Definition
- Feminist theory has developed in the context of the feminist movement and seeks to explain women's subordination, its causes, and the ways in which it is perpetuated. It employs gender as a key concept, that is, the social relation between the sexes, arguing that this relation is not naturally given but socially constructed.
