Definition
- A term often used interchangeably with “cinema” and “movies,” although each term can take on different meanings depending on the theoretical perspective of the user. Film refers alternately to a technology (filming), a physical analog medium (film), a category of media (film/cinema/movies), an industry (the film industry), and a product (a film), all related to recording or projecting sound and/or images generally recorded with a camera.
