Definition
- The purpose of fish and game laws is to protect wildlife resources and habitats. Among the principal objectives of these laws are the protection and replenishment of endangered and threatened species, regulation of public harvest of fish and game species, conservation of migratory wildlife, protection of habitat and fisheries, and containment and eradication of invasive species.
