Definition
- Fitness assessments are often used to determine how physically fit a person is at a given time. The YMCA Fitness Testing and Assessment Manual is often utilized to conduct a series of tests to determine physical fitness levels, identify strengths or weaknesses that require additional training, prescribe specific training programs, measure the effectiveness of particular training programs, and motivate individuals to become more physically fit.
