Definition
- Hazardous wastes are defined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as substances that have no commercial value and cannot be sold or recycled. These substances primarily include secondary waste from commercial and industrial activities, such as leftover chemicals at dry cleaning facilities or hazardous by-products used in the manufacturing process.
