horticultural societies
Definition
- Horticulturalists are cultivators who rely on hand labor rather than plow agriculture and grow trees, fruits, and vegetables rather than hard grains. In modern economic systems, horticulturalists tend to be market gardeners, vintners, orchard keepers, flower growers, or turf managers—all highly commercial specialties.
