Definition
- With 95% of school-age children enrolled in school, schools have the opportunity like no other institution to shape the health and wellness of young people. Nine months of each year, young people ages 5 to 18 years spend at least 6 hours a day in school; most students consume 30% to 50% of their daily caloric intake at school.
