length of marriage: risk of divorce
Definition
- The length of a marriage has long been associated with the risk of divorce, in particular since the concept of the “seven-year itch” was popularized in the 1955 movie of the same name, starring Marilyn Monroe. The perception is that couples tend to become dissatisfied with their relationships around the seventh anniversary.
