Definition
- Letter-writing has lost ground in favor of more technologically advanced methods of communication, such as e-mail, text messages, and social networking sites and applications like Facebook and Twitter. Although these newer forms of communication are labeled as social networks, letter-writing is also a facet of social networking, one of the more personal, intimate ways of connecting socially.
