Definition
- EATING PROCESSED MEAT—SUCH as sausages, frankfurters, bacon, liver pâté, cooked sliced ham, and other cold cuts—appears to increase the risk of colorectal cancer. Research conducted in the United States and Europe in the past decade has shown this over and over, but there are indications that the risk has been decreasing recently.
