Definition
- Mobility, which has been operationalized as an individual's ability to move from one place to another and arrive at the desired destination, is essential for independent living among older adults. Mobility impairments and/or mobility disability among the older adult population places a tremendous burden on the public health system due to its effect on the health, physical functioning, and quality of life of older adults.
