Definition
- Natural resource management is an interdisciplinary field with the general aim of devising practical solutions to the challenges of managing natural resources such as land, water, plants, and animals. Key to this discipline is the notion of sustainability, i.e., that natural resources are not simply managed to optimize profits or gains but also managed in such a way that they continue to thrive for future generations.
