- Netiquette is actual or recommended codes of behavior, conduct, and communication for people who interact over the Internet, in cyberspace, or in networked environments. In society, the rules and conventions of face-to-face etiquette that regulate social and professional behavior, and that are enforced by group pressure, have developed over time and in particular contexts.
