peer counseling
Definition
- Peer counseling can be defined as a method of helping that uses the sharing of information, feelings, and expectations of individuals who have experienced a similar situation or who may be more likely to empathize with an individual because of similarities in chronological age. Often, peer counselors are not professional counselors, but their expertise lie within the common experiences shared between two or more individuals.
