per member per month
Definition
- Per member per month (PMPM) is the ratio commonly used to designate the critically important average insurance cost and average insurance revenue of health plans. Because insurance premium payments are collected from employers monthly, this is reported as revenue per member per month that can be matched against the corresponding period's cost information.
