Definition
- PHEOCHROMOCYTOMAS ARE CATECHOL-AMINE-PRODUCING neuroendocrine tumors arising from chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla or extraadrenal paraganglia. These rare tumors can have a highly variable clinical presentation but most commonly present with episodes of headaches, sweating, palpitations, and hypertension.
