  • Photovoice is a participatory research method developed and described in a series of research articles by public health scholars Caroline C. Wang and Mary Ann Burris. Community members are given cameras and asked to photograph, story, and critically reflect on the reality of their everyday lives as a means of advocating for personal and community change at the grassroots level.
