- THE 2008 PRESIDENTIAL election will most likely be a landmark election as the frontrunners in each of the two major parties offer a rare or unique characteristic to the White House. As of February 2008, The front-runners for the Democratic Party included New York Senator Hillary Clinton and Illinois Senator Barack Obama.
