Definition
- PRIMARY CENTRAL NERVOUS system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a malignancy of the lymphatic system (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) that occurs primarily in the brain, eye, spinal cord, and meninges. It is unique because the brain, unlike other parts of the body, lacks lymph nodes or lymph channels. [Source: Encyclopedia of Cancer and Society; Lymphoma, Primary Central Nervous System]
