prisoner reentry
Definition
- Prisoner reentry refers to former prisoners' transition back into society. Due to the sheer numbers of inmates who are incarcerated and high recidivism rates, the corrections system, nongovernmental organizations, and other entities are expanding efforts to help offenders reintegrate back into society on a scale greater than in the past.
