Definition
- Street-based prostitution or sex work involves someone who solicits or negotiates sex outdoors—for example, on the street or in some other public outdoor venue, such as a boardwalk, pier, or parking lot. Street-based sex work is stereotyped as the province of drug addicts and within the context of street crime, and many street areas include drug sellers and users.
