Concept information
Preferred term
protection against rape
Definition
- An important aspect of prevention of rape is a woman's ability to protect herself from attack. Because effective primary prevention of sexual aggression is still lacking, women, who are the most frequent targets of rape, need education about effective resistance strategies if confronted with an assault.
