Definition
- Quarantine and isolation are well-established public health tools for preventing the spread of infection and have important roles in the practice of crisis management. Quarantine is the separation of asymptomatic, well persons who may have been exposed to a communicable disease from those persons who have not been exposed to the communicable disease.
