rates of computer use
Definition
- For the first time in history, children's use of a medium, in this case the personal computer, has overtaken their parents' usage rates. A study conducted by National Public Radio reports that 44% of America's youth between the ages of 10 and 17 years use a personal computer from home on a daily basis, and 55% of the young people in this age range access a computer at school at least once per week.
