Definition
- A “right to housing” is a 20th-century ideal set forth in various human rights declarations, laws, pronouncements, and treaties. The first international affirmation to promulgate a right to housing is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on December 10, 1948.
