- The science of risk assessment in intimate partner violence (IPV) is relatively new. As research has increased in the field generally, so has demand for demonstrated accuracy in predicting risk in domestic violence cases and for the use of IPV risk assessment in criminal justice, advocacy services, and health care settings.
