Definition
- The development and implementation of safe and drug-free schools are supported through many local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies. The U.S. Department of Education established the Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools (OSDFS) in 2002 to aid in the promotion and development of activities and programs that are focused on safe, disciplined, drug-free, and healthy learning environments.
