Definition
- A single mother is a mother who may have sole custody of her children, may share in joint custody of her children with the biological father, or may have only visitation rights while the father remains the primary custodian. A single custodial mother is defined as a mother who is legally responsible for the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of her children.
