substance abuse subtle screening inventory-3
Definition
- The Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory-3 (SASSI-3) is one of many instruments designed to screen for substance use. As a screening instrument, its purpose is to indicate whether there is sufficient indication of risk to warrant more thorough evaluation.A unique attraction of the SASSI is its claim to detect risk of substance use disorders regardless of the respondent's honesty or motivation, based on the inclusion of indirect or "subtle" scales.
