synergy
Definition
- Synergy exists when the value created by business units working together exceeds the sum of the value those same units create when working independently: the harmonization of the direction and operation of separate organizations into a whole entity. Synergetic activity typically needs to be carefully planned, analyzed, and implemented. [Source: Dictionary of Strategy: Strategic Management A-Z; Synergy]
