Definition
- Advances in genetics and genomics, and particularly the plethora of information arising from the Human Genome Project, have catalyzed the advent of toxicogenomics. This new discipline that emerged at the interface between toxicology and genomics promises to improve our insight into the complexity of interactions between chemical compounds and the genome in ways that just years ago seemed unimaginable.
