ultraviolet A radiation
Definition
- ULTRAVIOLET A (UVA) radiation is that part of the electromagnetic spectrum between 315 or 320 and 400 nm. The Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) uses 320 nm as the lower limit, whereas much of Europe uses 315 nm, probably because that is the limit of the vitamin D action spectrum.
