- Venture capital investment typically means the process and activity by which private equity is provided by a venture capital firm to an organization or venture that is not publicly traded (not registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and not openly traded via the New York Stock Exchange, American Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and so on).
