Definition
- The movement of people and goods is vital to the economic growth and productivity of a metropolitan region, and this critical activity is threatened when a region's transportation infrastructure is disrupted. The challenge for emergency managers and urban planners is to plan for and limit the disruptive impacts that crises can have on multimodal transportation networks.
