wrist/arm injuries and disorders
Definition
- The wrist is a complex joint formed by the articulation of several bones surrounded primarily by ligaments creating one of the most essential components of the upper limb. Given the primarily bony and ligamentous components comprising the joint of the wrist, injuries to this region as a result of trauma are more numerous due partly to the lack of strong surrounding muscular attachments.
