Definition
- The EZLN (Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional, Zapatista Army of National Liberation) is a guerrilla movement made up of indigenous peasants from the state of Chiapas in southern Mexico. The EZLN was created in 1984 in the Lacandona jungle, from which, on January 1, 1994, it launched a rebellion against the Mexican state.
