  • Cluster grouping involves placing a group of 6 to 12 or more elementary students identified as gifted, high ability, high potential, or high achieving into a classroom for the express purpose of providing them with full-time educational services targeted to their advanced learning needs. Throughout the literature these terms are used interchangeably, but this entry uses the term gifted to refer to these students.
