- Ricardo Flores Magón was an intellectual precursor of the Mexican Revolution. First as a liberal reformer and later as an anarchist, Flores Magón consistently criticized successive Mexican governments as a leading member of the Partido Liberal Mexicano (PLM) and a writer for Regeneracíon, a magazine he cofounded in 1900.
